Instead of reconstructing proof after something happens, 3tched is designed to produce evidence as a consequence of the system operating correctly.
The problem

Operational systems perform the work. Security tools control access. Compliance teams collect evidence afterward. AI systems often reason from summaries that have drifted away from the live state.
Every separation creates another place where context can be lost, controls can be bypassed, and proof can become incomplete.

Each request is evaluated in context: who or what is acting, what authority it has, what action it is attempting, and what policy applies.
Keep state and evidence connected
Accepted changes contribute to a hash-linked history designed to show what happened, who or what acted, and how the system reached its current state.
Semantic retrieval. Governed inference.
Vectorization makes governed state searchable by meaning. Inference reasons over the relevant live context while identity, authority, and provenance remain attached—so the system can show what context an AI agent used, what authority it had, and what evidence supported its action.
Why it matters
Control and accountability should be the same operation.
Traditional audit systems tell you what may have happened after the fact. 3tched is being designed so the act of operating correctly creates its own supporting evidence.

Founder story
Built outside the usual path.
I did not come to 3tched as a developer or coder. I came to it as a self-taught systems administrator who worked with small businesses and learned to understand how technologies fit together, where systems break, and what their design choices make possible.
Before 3tched, I had never coded an application or worked in enterprise technology. What I brought was the system itself: the ideas, the architecture, the technology choices, and the principles that each part had to satisfy. AI-assisted development gave me a way to turn that model into working infrastructure.
That unusual path became an advantage. I was not starting with a familiar framework and looking for somewhere to apply it. I could follow the problem from first principles, recognize when one part contradicted another, and keep reshaping the architecture until identity, authority, live state, and evidence worked as one system.
Working with AI also meant learning to push against its current. Models naturally return to familiar patterns: duplicate representations, extra layers, and conventional boundaries. I kept returning to one invariant—a single source of truth. Whenever a suggestion created another version of state or contradicted that principle, I rejected it and redirected the architecture.
Preserve identity. Enforce authority when action occurs. Produce evidence from the same system that performs the work.
AI could help write the code. Holding one coherent model of the system—and defending it against the current—was the founder’s work.
Current status
A working foundation, under active development.
The core architecture is being implemented and tested now. Current work is focused on strengthening enforcement, durable evidence, governed agent access, and the path from prototype infrastructure to real-world deployment.
